We believe in empowering our clients to take as much control of their website project as they want and giving them the tools needed to do this effectively. To that end, here are some helpful resources for the do-it-yourselfers.

Domain Names

• GoDaddy has great pricing & customer service.  We recommend them for domain name leasing and SSL certificates. Google "godaddy promo code" to find special offers and ensure you receive the lowest rates available to the general public. Watch out for their upsells. The major drawback of GoDaddy is they try to sell you alot of things you don't need.  Just stick to the basics.
• Namecheap is another good domain registrar.  Their prices are competitive with Godaddy and they have an easy-to-use management panel.  Their renewal pricing on .org domains is extremely competitive.

Joomla Templates

• Joomlashack is, by far, our favorite.  They offer a core group of customizeable templates of the highest quality with clean code.
• Rocket Theme has really cutting-edge and innovative templates with great feature sets.
• Template Monster offers a huge selection of templates at competitive prices.
• Joomla Bamboo - very unique templates with style. They are easy to edit within the joomla admin, perfect for those with little or no web coding experience.
• Template Monster - probably the largest selection of quality templates on the internet. In addition to Joomla, they offer templates for Virtuemart, osCommerce, Zencart, Wordpress and Drupal.
  

Mailing List Management

• Mailchimp - You've probably heard of Constant Contact and stories about how difficult it can be. Mailchimp is user-friendly and offers lots of great features.  Best of all, you can get a free account for lists of up to 1000 subscribers and send 6000 emails per month at no charge.
• Aweber Communications - Excellent mailing list service.  They offer 150+ professional templates and lots of features. Aweber's been around since 1998 and provides excellent security and stability.

Stock Photography, Artwork and Video

• iStockphoto has the largest selection around and, although their prices are higher, we use them more often than any other stock photo service.
• Big Stock has great selection of stock photography with competitive prices
• 123RF has a smaller inventory than their major competitors but they still have a lot of great images and pricing is rock-bottom.

Merchant Services

• Paypal - the quickest and easiest way to accept credit cards and other electronic payments including subscription services.  If you are doing less than $1500/mo in credit card transactions, this is probably your best option.
• Propay is a virtual credit card terminal.  Don't pay hundreds of dollars and large monthly fees to process credit cards unless you are doing the volume to justify those costs.  Propay packages start around just $35/year.
• Authorize.net is our #1 recommended payment gateway for receiving online payments, automated recurring billing and virtual credit card processing.
